This will not stand! By my beard, I swear vengeance upon the Shadowforge and their vile lot!

I led the Explorers' League excavation here in the Grim Reaches, a peaceful endeavor, mind you. Then, out of nowhere, those treacherous Dark Irons attacked us under cover of night! Only a handful of us escaped with our lives—most of my comrades were slaughtered where they stood!

We must strike back! Head northeast to my old excavation site and slay as many of those Dark Iron scum as you can. Bring me their heads as proof. Show them no mercy—they deserve none.

And listen—if by any chance you come across my personal stash there, bring it back to me. It holds valuable notes from the excavation, notes I cannot afford to lose!
