Banish the elemental figurehead inside Windhorn Canyon and report back to Shovu at the Earthen Ring in the Stonetalon Mountains.

Description

Apologies, I said I could read a few passages, but even then it is fairly cryptic. It speaks of an order, the order to attack the meddling mortals. You found this on one of the invading air elementals? Greka told me about what had happened while most of our members were gone. It appears this was no mere coincidence, but a coordinated attack utilizing a moment of weakness in our defenses. Further down, it states the following:

”I will wait for your return in the windswept canyon of the countless spires. Our horned allies expect nothing but success.”

, this paints a grim picture. There are more forces at hand plotting against the Earthen Ring and I fear I might as well know who these “horned allies” are. Deep in the Thousand Needles, there is Windhorn Canyon, an ancient stone fortress that gave many tauren tribes shelter in the past. Right now, it is occupied by the Blackwind tribe, and most likely their elemental conspirators. We must stop their alliance at once.

Our Far Seers and speakers are concerned about the elemental unrest boiling all around us. Even the trainees and initiates feel that uneasiness. All the more reason to get to the bottom of this.

Vortalus, you say? Worrisome to see elementals making a pact in such large numbers with the mortal races. Especially after what had happened here, at the Earthen Ring. This begs another question, however. What do the elements expect of such a coalition? Were they servants of the Blackwind tribe or was it the other way around? If the wind lords are bringing other forces under their fold, then they must be preparing for something greater.
