Description

Before the… incident, we managed to secure a fair number of draenethyst crystals. They are potent, yes, and full of promise. Still, something is missing. I can feel it.

Some time ago, a great meteor fell north of here. It tore the earth apart when it struck, and its arrival drew many of the blue dragonflight to the site. That alone tells me enough.

The stone is saturated with arcane energy. In the right context, it could be invaluable to my work. I believe it would resonate with draenethyst in a way we have not yet seen. The exact mechanisms are not important.

What matters is this. I need a sample.

The dragons guarding the impact site are hostile, and I will not ask you to walk into certain death. However, the Fallen Ones do not share such reservations. They place little value on life, their own included. It is possible they scavenged shards from the meteor. If so, you will find them in the Servitor’s Sanctuary to the north. Search there, and bring me what you can recover.

Yes. This resonance. I can feel it even through the wards. The arcane pattern is unstable, but not chaotic. That is rare. Very rare.

You did well to survive long enough to bring it back. Many would not have.

With this shard, the draenethyst may finally reveal its purpose. Or confirm my fears about it. Either outcome is preferable to ignorance.
